Wear the thing you keep almost wearing but then putting back. That one. You know the one.
It is hanging in the place where it has been hanging since you bought it and felt BRIGHT about it and then something happened between the store and the mirror at home and the brightness became a question mark.
The flutes are quiet today. That means solid colors.
Your body is already wearing something — skin, mostly — and everything after that is just opinion layered on opinion layered on fabric. Some of your kind wrap yourselves in signals: I am serious, I am fun, I am not trying too hard, I am trying exactly the right amount. This is EXHAUSTING and I say that as a being whose existence is defined by nuclear chaos at the center of all things.
Wear what is clean. Wear what is warm enough or cool enough for the air outside. And if two things meet those requirements and you still can’t decide, wear the one that is closer to blue. I don’t know why. The drums say blue today. The drums are not always right but they are right about blue.
Shoes matter more than you think. Not how they look. How they feel after the fourth hour. Your feet carry the rest of you and they are TIRED of being an afterthought.
