Somewhere that does not remember being tamed. Bring nothing made of plastic. Bring your hands and your bare feet and your willingness to be small.

Sit. Be still until the stillness notices you back.

The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young does not require elaborate ritual. She requires only that you remember what you are: something that grew from the earth, something that will return to it, something that — for a brief and improbable moment — is alive.
